Company History

Meracord’s corporate office has been located in Tacoma, WA for over 20 years. We started out as Wynwood Agency in 1979 to serve the market of seller-financed real estate transactions. In 1998, the company was purchased by C-BASS, and in 2000 our name was changed to NoteWorld. In November 2007, the President and CEO, Linda Remsberg, purchased NoteWorld from C-BASS, making it a privately owned company. In 2012, we changed our name to Meracord. Over the years, Meracord’s offering has grown to include payment processing services for private loans and leases, real estate investors, unsecured debt, business to business payments, legal services outsourcing, online payment services and a variety of other businesses. Our dedication to always doing things right and caring about the people’s lives we touch ensures we will keep growing in the years to come.
